Harriet Vitello

Of East Boston

Harriet E. (Littlefield) Vitello of East Boston passed away on August 2. 

She was the devoted wife of the late Albert Vitello, devoted mother of Diane D’Andrea and her husband Anthony D’Andrea of East Boston and loving grandmother of Melissa and Nicolette D’Andrea and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her Beautiful Face and Bright Smile Will Be Forever Remembered

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 17 from 3 to 7 p.m. in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere for LuAnn Camarda who died on Monday,

July 11 at her residence in Winthrop surrounded by her most loving family following a brief and devastating battle with lung cancer. She was 64 years old. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, July 18 beginning at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph – St.

Lazarus Church, 59 Ashley St., East Boston immediately followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Community Mausoleum, Malden.

LuAnn was born in Winthrop to her parents Gasparo “Jim” and Carmela “Millie” (DiNapoli) Camarda and was immediately loved by her big sister, Catherine from the moment she saw her. She was raised in East Boston and was a graduate of Pope John XXIII High School, Everett, Class of 1975. LuAnn went onto

further her education and earn her degree in Early Childhood Education at Salem State University. She worked very briefly in education before switching her career to the financial sector. She began working at Sun Life Financial, a career that spanned 40 years. She worked her way up and became a manager in

annuities. LuAnn moved from East Boston to Winthrop where she has lived for the past 35 years. She was currently working until, her health quickly declined with her diagnosis. She was cared for at her home by her only child, her daughter, Alanna. LuAnn always said that her daughter was the best thing that ever happened to her. Her presence will be greatly missed and her beautiful face and bright smile will be forever remembered, “Dance on our Dancing Queen.”

The loving and proud mother of her daughter, Alanna N. Shepherd and her partner, Stephanie Battise of Winthrop, she was the cherished daughter of the late Gasparo “Jim” Camarda ( former owner of Jim’s Variety

located in Orient Heights) and Carmella “Millie” (DiNapoli) Camarda, the adored sister and best friend of Catherine L. Camarda of Revere and is also lovingly survived by her former husband, Albert J. Rita Rizzo

Of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston

Rita (Izzo) Rizzo of Winthrop, formerly of New Hampshire and East Boston, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 5 at 92 years of age. 

The loving daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Giardullo) Izzo and the beloved wife of the late Louis Rizzo, she was the devoted mother of Joseph Rizzo and his spouse, Linda Haynes of New Hampshire, Ann Siracusa and her husband, Thomas of Revere, Julie Rizzo and her spouse, David Cole of Revere and Cathy Rizzo of Peabody; dear sister of Anna DeCosta of East Boston, Joseph Izzo of Revere, Paul Izzo of East Boston and the late Ida Villano, Anthony Izzo, Nicholas Izzo, Jean Nicoletti and Marie Capone; cherished grandmother of Joseph, Janessa, Gino, Michael, Robby, Kira, Kayla and Breana and adored great-grandmother of Audree, Kai, Mia, Gianna, Parker, Lillian, and Madelyn and best friend and caregiver of over seven years, Elizabeth Sanchez-Zichella. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends will honor Rita’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston, on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon. A prayer service will be held in our Serenity Chapel at Noontime. Services will conclude with Rita being laid to rest with her beloved husband, Louis, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Jeanette Nealon

She Will Be Deeply Missed by All Who Loved and Knew Her

Jeanette L. (Florentino) Nealon of East Boston passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, August 5,  at 91 years of age. 

Jeanette was a member of Saint Lazarus Home and School Association. She was a longtime supporter of East Boston Girls Softball. Jeanette was a long-time employee of Burger King and Ken’s at Copley Square. Jeanette loved spending time under the tree at the Orient Heights Beach. She will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her. May she rest in peace.

The beloved wife of the late Leo “Rusty” Nealon, Jr., she was the devoted mother of Barbara A. Rosatto and her husband, Richard, Kathleen Orlando and her husband, Carmen, and Brian Nealon and his wife, Lee and the late Thomas F. Nealon; dear sister of Eleanor Manuel, Francis “Pudgy” Florentino, Thomas Florentino, and the late Joseph, James, Elmer, Walter, William “BooBoo,” Mary Catherine, Edward and Jacqueline Florentino; cherished grandmother of Thomas Rosatto, Michelle Donovan and husband Brian, Jacquelyn Indrisano and her husband, Mark, Sydney, Christian and Madison Orlando, Le’Andra and Gianluca Nealon and adored great-grandmother (“Babadoo”) of Tatum, Isla, Remy, Carys, Lyra, and Quinn. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends honored Jeanette’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston, on Tuesday, August. and will gather at the funeral home again today, Wednesday morning  at 8:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Parish, East Boston, for a Funeral Mass celebrating Jeanette’s life at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Jeanette being laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.  To leave an online condolence visit www.ruggieromh.com.
