He was the beloved husband of the late Florence G. (DeMattia); devoted father of William, Linda (Quigley), Florence, Donna (Arone), Edward, Michael and Richard. Gennaro V. Giardullo of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, died unexpectedly on May 25.
The founder of Do-Awl Construction, he was a past member of St. Francis K of C #2962.
He was the beloved husband for over 66 years to Catherine (Maglio) Giardullo; devoted father of Gerard Giardullo, Frank “Duke” Giardullo and his wife, Karen, all of Saugus; cherished grandfather of Craig, Brian and Kurt, all of Saugus and adored great grandfather of Gennaro, Gianni, Brianna and Devon. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Ida R. (Nardi) Rizzo of Everett, formerly of East Boston, died on May 24. She was in her 96th year.
She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Rizzo; devoted mother of Alfred Cataldo and his wife, Joann of Stoneham; dear sister of the late Virginia Romano and Victor Nardi; cherished grandmother of Joanna Cataldo-Walsh and Michelle Cataldo-Favaloro, both of Winthrop, Frederick Cataldo of West Roxbury, Joseph Fagone of Lowell, Kara Cataldo of Charlestown and Lesley McDermottroe. She is also survived by many adored great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held from the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston today, Wednesday, May 30 at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Mrs. Rizzo’s life at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church) 1545 Tremont St., Boston at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
