Jets improve to 4-1 with a convincing victory over West Roxbury, 43-8

The East Boston High Schools Jets football team has improved to 4-1 with another stella display of offensive prowess against West Roxbury. The Jets beat the Raiders 43-8 last Friday.

The Jets took off in the very first quarter scoring 21 unanswered points. Mike Lockley caught a 27 pass from Troy Williams for a touchdown. He scored again on a 10 yard run. Brandon Amodeo rounded out the first quarter offensive highlights when Williams hit him with a 10 yard pass.

Williams kicked off the second with a 35 yard interception return making it 28-0. West Roxbury was scoreless at the half and would remain so until the fourth quarter. Before the Raiders Eric Bratton scored on a 5 yard run in the fourth, Eastie’s Stanley Greene took off on a 50 yard run for a touchdown in the third quarter and Tim Roberts scored on an 11 yard run in the fourth.

Williams finished the game with two touchdown passes and Lockley rushed for 105 yards on four carries.

The Jets will face off against Blue Hills on Friday.
