Kiara was recognized by State Representative Adrian Madaro and State Senator Lydia Edwards for her dedication and commitment as an educator, as well as for the incredible positive impact she has on students, families, and the broader community. Kiara was one of 15 charter public school teachers from across the state to be recognized.
“I was proud to nominate East Boston resident, Kiara LAST NAME, for the Latino Educators Shine Award,” said Rep. The ceremony featured remarks from Miranda, Kushmerek, and Dr. Regina Robinson, Special Assistant to the Commissioner. Also speaking were key leaders from Latinos for Education, including Amanda Fernandez, CEO and Founder, Jacqueline Monterroso, Director of Policy and Advocacy, and Migdalia Diaz, COO and Massachusetts Interim Executive Director.
