She was known for her love of cooking, her pleasure in shopping, and her excitement for the casino

In memory of Elaine Claire (Chianca) Ciampa, 76, who passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Boston on July 31, 1949 to the late Pasquale and Clara Chianca, Elaine grew up in East Boston with her sister, Patty and graduated from East Boston High. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was happiest when she was with her family. She delighted in her passion for ceramics, teaching many friends and family, and owning her own ceramics studio. She was known for her love of cooking, her pleasure in shopping, and her excitement for the casino.

Elaine was predeceased by her late husband, Carmen C. Ciampa and she leaves her daughter, Sherry Nardone and her husband, John, her son, Carmen and his wife, Lisa and her daughter, Tara and her husband, Daniel.; eleven grandchildren: Shanell, Chris, Alexis, Michael and his wife, Alicia, Elissa, Gianna, Ashley, Billy and Arianna. She also leaves her three great grandchildren: Waverly, Alaina and Weston, who were the light of her life. She leaves her sister Patty and brother-in-law Paul, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 12th from 2  to 6 p.m., in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 13th at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph – St. Lazarus Church, 59 Ashley St, East Boston at 10 a.m. A private burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
