The Friends of the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway will kick off the Summer Event Series on Wednesday June 24, 2026. “We are so excited to present a summer long series of concerts, movies, bocce and more!” said, Keeley Fanuele, Executive Director. “We have a huge lineup of fabulous concerts including Reggae, Salsa, and a special tribute to America 250. We welcome back ‘Park Poetree’ with local poet and artist Essmaa Litim and we are thrilled to introduce ‘Sports Day’ in partnership with the YMCA (East Boston) which will encompass a day of interactive sports activities, information about local sports programming, and featuring our New England favorite sports leagues, The Revolution, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, New England Jacks and many more surprises!”
