Anthony “Tony” Mario

Retiree of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

 Anthony “Tony” A. Mario, 91, of Lynn, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Born on February 15, 1935, he was the son of the late Carmine and Antonetta (Caserta) Mario and the beloved husband of the late Josephine M. “Jo” (Losanno) Mario, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.

Raised and educated in East Boston, Anthony graduated in 1952 before proudly serving in the United States Army. He went on to build a long and successful career with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he served as manager of job placement and unemployment insurance services, ultimately retiring as office manager after 30 years of dedicated service.

Tony’s faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He was a devoted communicant of both St. Patrick’s Church and Sacred Heart Church in Lynn. He was also a member of the DeFranzo VFW Post in Saugus, where he cherished the camaraderie of his fellow veterans.

Tony will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered for the legacy he leaves behind as a devoted father, proud grandfather, and beloved great-grandfather. He is survived by his children: Carmine A. Mario and his partner, Nancy of Lynn, Michelle Turmenne and her husband, Michael of Peabody, Christine Faller and her husband, Garrey of Quincy and Al Mario of Pittsburgh, PA. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Michael S. Turmenne and his wife, Meghan, Nicholas Mario and his wife, Kaitlin, Andrew Faller and his fiancée, Tanaya, Christopher J. Mario and his wife, Leandra, Matthew Turmenne and his wife, Keri, Colin Faller, David Mario and Sydney Mario and her fiancé, Josh; along with his great-grandchildren: Lucy, Archie, Remy, Maisie, and Zoey. He was also looking forward to the arrival of another great-grandchild, Reid, next month.

Along with his loving wife, Tony was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Antonetta; his siblings: Christy R. Mario, Carmen “Junior” Mario, and Teresa Pittella and his brother-in-law, Antonio Losanno.

Relatives and friends attended visiting hours on Tuesday, May 26, at Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn and a funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 571 Boston Street, Lynn today at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Mark Biancardi

His memory will live on through the love he shared and the many lives he touched

Mark Biancardi of Winthrop, passed away suddenly on May 21, 2026, at the age of 42. Born on November 22, 1983, Mark was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend whose presence brought warmth and laughter to all who knew him.

Mark was the beloved husband of Jennifer Biancardi and the proud and devoted father of Robert and Gabriela Biancardi, who were the center of his world. He is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Nancy Biancardi; his sister, Shannon Richard and her husband. Daniel; and his brother, Joseph Biancardi and his wife. Rayna. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Mark had a passion for hockey and enjoyed both playing the game and spending time watching sports with family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of family, his sense of humor, his generous heart, and the lasting impact he made on those around him. His sudden passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Mark’s memory will live on through the love he shared and the many lives he touched.

Family and friends will honor Mark’s life by gathering on Thursday, May 28th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., East Boston.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
