East Boston will hold its Memorial Day Ceremonies on Monday, May 25 at 11 a.m. in Central Square.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday that honors U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the Armed Forces.
There will be a speaking program and memorial observance followed by a march to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Liverpool Street.
Sen. Lydia Edwards, Rep. Adrian Madaro, and District 1 Councilor Gabriela Coletta Zapata will be among the dignitaries in attendance.
Edwards, a Captain and JAG Officer in the Massachusetts National Guard, will host her annual Memorial Day Brunch on Friday, May 22 at 10 a.m. at the Beachmont V.F.W. Post.
