Pamela Piscopo

She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the lasting impression she made on all who knew her

Pamela Piscopo, 55, formerly of Boston and a resident of Naples, Florida, passed away suddenly on March 19, 2026.

Raised in Greater Boston, Pamela was a descendant of Italian immigrants who settled in Maverick Square, East Boston, and owned hotels and businesses in the North End and across the city. She maintained a strong connection to family and community throughout her life.

Pamela earned degrees from Suffolk University and The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She began her career as an on-air personality at WXTB-FM and WRXK-FM in Florida. She later became Principal of Flaunt Boutique in Savannah, Georgia, where she expressed her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

In Naples, Pamela enjoyed painting, time with animals, and welcoming others into her home. She had a natural ability to make people feel comfortable and valued.

She was predeceased by her parents, Guy David Piscopo and Karen MacBurnie Piscopo. She is survived by her loving sister, Laura Piscopo and her husband, Richard Wein; her niece, Ashley Borys; her aunt, Anita Piscopo Chisholm; her uncles: Davd MacBurnie (Bonnie) and Branson MacBurnie (Deborah); and many cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on April 25, 2026, in Naples, Florida.

Donations in Pamela’s memory may be made to the Benjamin Piscopo & Family Memorial Scholarship Fund at Suffolk University, supporting first-generation students pursuing studies in entrepreneurship (suffolk.edu/piscopofund).

Brenda B. Leary

She will forever be remembered as a woman who loved her family and

treasured all of the special moments she had with them

Family and friends are welcome to attend Visiting Hours from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday April 11th in the Vertuccio Smith and Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere for Brenda B. (Broussard) Leary, who passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday morning following a brief illness at the Katzman Center for Living in Chelsea. She was 85 years old. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph – St. Lazarus Church, 59 Ashley St., East Boston at 12 (Noon). Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Brenda was born in Boston to her late parents, James E. Broussard, Sr. and Mary E. “Helen” (Doherty) Broussard. She was one of two daughters raised and educated in East Boston and a proud alumna of Mt. St. Joseph Academy in Brighton, Class of 1958. Brenda married her husband, James “Bro” Leary on June 13, 1965. The couple remained in East Boston and  began their family together.

She was a loving and nurturing mother who filled her home with love and joy. She  later returned to the workforce when her children where in school, working mother’s hours as a customer service representative for the Glen – Mor Fuel Co. for over 20 years.

During this time, Brenda was blessed by being a grandmother. Her most precious time was spending it with her three grandsons: Teagen, Taiven and Treyson, as she would always refer to them as “her boys.” Brenda was present in their lives watching them, being present at their sporting and school events.

She was also an avid walker, always walking around her neighborhood in Orient Heights, especially the beach, Bayswater Street and St. Andrew Road, often times talking to all of the neighbors along the way. She had a passion for baking and loved to share her delicious treats. She also had a sweet tooth herself.

She and her husband also enjoyed their home in New Hampshire with their family and friends making beautiful memories over the years. Brenda will forever be remembered as a woman who loved her family and treasured all of the special moments she had with them.

She was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late James G. “Bro” Leary, Jr., loving mother of Jann Leary Goodwin, James G. “Jimbo” Leary, III and Taimee Scarpa and her husband, Steven, who she truly adored, all of East Boston; cherished Nana of Teagen, Taiven and Treyson Scarpa and Jaelinn and Aidan Goodwin; adored great grandmother of Analiyah; dear sister of Janet Rawlings and her late husband, Donald Rawlings of Lynn. She is also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
