Pasquale “Pat” Gaglione
A True Family Man AKA “the Mayor of Brandywyne”
Pasquale “Pat” Gaglione passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 92 years old.
Born on June 29, 1933, Pat was the beloved son of the late Raymond and Francis Gaglione. He was the devoted husband of the late Barbara (Pope) Gaglione, with whom he now reunites in eternal rest. Pat was a proud and loving father to Richard Gaglione and his wife, Toni and to Robert Gaglione and his late wife, Mary. He was a cherished brother of Michael Gaglione and the late Angie King, Ronald Gaglione and Susan Pioppi. A devoted grandfather, Pat adored his grandchildren: Jason, Christopher, Robert and Brianna and was a loving great-grandfather to Kallee.
A true family man, Pat was known throughout his neighborhood for his daily walks to Saratoga Market—often two or three times a day—for his scratch tickets, earning him the affectionate nickname “the Mayor of Brandywyne.” He had a deep love for horses and spent many happy days at the racetrack at Suffolk Downs. Pat also worked for many years at Haymarket Produce, standing at his produce stand on weekends, and became a proud laborer with Local 22.
Family and friends will honor Pat’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston, on Thursday, January 8th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning at 9 a.m. prior to a prayer service at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Pat being laid to rest beside his beloved wife at St. Michael Cemetery in Boston.
Pat will be remembered for his warm presence, strong work ethic, love of family, and the familiar sight of him walking his neighborhood each day. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit www.ruggieromh.com.
