Warmth, strength, and kindness touched many lives
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Theresa Bonfiglio on October 18, 2025, just three days shy of her 100th birthday. Theresa was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth, strength, and kindness touched the lives of many.
Born on October 21, 1925, Theresa was the cherished daughter of the late Aniello and Fidelia “Helen” (Giardullo) Bruno. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Joseph Bonfiglio, with whom she shared a loving life. Theresa is survived by her loving son, Peter Bonfiglio and his wife,. Rhonda. She was the proud grandmother of Joseph Bonfiglio and his wife, Nicole, and Jodi Ann Doyle and her husband, Cory. Theresa’s joy was multiplied by her great-grandchildren: Cordelia, Wyatt, George, and William, who brought light and laughter into her later years. She was also blessed with many brothers and sisters, and countless nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
The family extends deepest gratitude to PACE Winthrop, Element Care Beverly and the compassionate team at Essex Park in Beverly for their outstanding care and support during Theresa’s final years.
A memorial mass will take place on Saturday, October 25th, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Danvers. In accordance with the family’s wishes and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Theresa’s name to the Neighborhood PACE Program, 26 Sturgis Street, Winthrop, MA 02152. Domenico Capogreco of East Boston passed away on October 15, 2025.
Predeceased by his beloved wife,Teresa (Fazzolari) Capogreco, he was the devoted father of Maria Capogreco and Carlo Capogreco, both of Arizona, Pasquale “Pita” Capogreco and his late wife, Lisa, Roberto “Chicky” Capogreco and his wife, Erica, all of East Boston; dear brother of Vincenzo Capogreco and his deceased wife, Lina of East Boston, Gina Belcastro and the late Giuseppe of Australia, the late Guiseppe Capogreco of Italy, Teresa Qualtieri and the late Vincenzo of Australia, Rocco Capogreco and his wife, Grace of Australia, Mela DeBartolo and her husband, Nicola of Australia and Antonio Capogreco and his wife, Rosa of Australia; adored grandfather of Rosemarie, Sara, Domenic, Grace, Michalena and Antonio Capogreco of East Boston; brother – in – law of Caterina Schirripa and her husband, Frank of Saugus, Vincent Fazzolari and his wife, Sheila of North Reading. Family and friends honored Domenico’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston, on Sunday, October 19th and again on Monday morning at St. Joseph – St. Lazarus Church for a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass. Services concluded with Domenico being laid to rest at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Everett.
