Rosemarie Yannetty

Her main love was to be surrounded by family

Family and friends attended Visiting Hours on Monday, July 21st at the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere for Rosemarie (Cioffi) Yannetty, who passed away on July 16th at 92 years of age. Her Funeral was from the Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22nd followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston and Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Born and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of Orlando and Theresa (Torelli) Cioffi. Rosemarie was a graduate of East Boston High School and remained a lifelong and proud East Boston resident.

Her love for dancing began at a young age and at the age of 14 she began her professional career. Her skill and expertise were in tap, jazz, acrobatics, and much more. She spent many years displaying her talents at numerous shows not only in the Boston area, but throughout New England and New York. She retired from dancing to dedicate her life to raising her four children.

When she married Edward Yannetty, the couple began their family and remained in East Boston. As her children reached school age, Rosemarie re-entered the workforce and began a career with Commercial Union Insurance Company, where she enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring at the age of 65 as the supervisor of the clerical team.

Rosemarie’s main love was to be surrounded by family, spending as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren, her siblings, and the greatest, most fun cousins the world has ever known. Rosemarie enjoyed travelling and boating over the years.

The beloved wife of the late Edward Yannetty, she was the devoted mother of Edward Yannetty and his wife, Kim of Nahant, Theresa Yannetty of East Boston, Joseph Yannetty of Florida and the late David Yannetty; cherished grandmother of Nichole Yannetty, Alicia Hickey, Theresa Yannetty, Davina Yannetty, David Yannetty and Rosemarie Eblin; cherished great grandmother of Beaux, Halle and Owen and she also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was the dear sister of the late Connie Sforza, Ann Fitzgerald, Joseph Cioffi and Vincent Cioffi.

The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at The Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers for the exceptional care and compassion shown in her final days.
