Boston Harborfest Announces 2025 Schedule

Boston Harborfest is proud to announce its full event schedule for 2025, spanning three days throughout the City of Boston. As the nation’s largest Fourth of July festival, Boston Harborfest features dozens of events and activities including live music, historical re-enactments, fireworks, and more for residents and visitors alike.

The summer festival begins from Summer Street Stage at Downtown Crossing with a performance by the Middlesex County Fife & Drum, remarks from public figures, and a ceremonial cake cutting on Wednesday, July 2. Following the opening ceremony, local acts will perform free concerts within Downtown Boston and Christopher Columbus Park on July 2 and 3. On July 2, the U.S. Navy Band Northeast will be the final musical act before Boston Harborfest Fireworks launch from Long Wharf at 9:15 p.m.

At 9:00 a.m. on Independence Day, a short parade will step off from City Hall Plaza and pass the Granary Burial Ground, where wreaths will be laid on the graves of American patriots. The parade continues through Downtown Crossing to the Old State House where the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company will continue its tradition of reading the Declaration of Independence from the balcony above State Street.
