The next meeting of the Harbor View Neighborhood Association will be on June 2, at 6 p.m. The meeting is In Person only but will be streamed via Facebook for archival purposes. Attendance on Facebook does not qualify for voting. The meeting will be held in the Salesian Boys and Girls Club cafeteria, across from the Brooke Charter School on Byron Street. You can access the meeting from the front door on Byron Street or from the rear door on Wordsworth Street, which is the handicap entry, to avoid the stairs. We also have an elevator available from the front door.

Congratulations to Gabriela Ramirez, from Councilor Coletta-Zapata’s office who was promoted to Deputy Chief of Staff. Kyron Owens is planning another Emergency Preparedness Event on May 31, 2025, from 9am-1pm at Excel Academy Charter School 401 Bremen Street, all welcome to come and learn CPR and wound care. This is the 2nd Presentation and vote. Attorney Gonzalez and Levin on behalf of owner, Elkin Vanegas, and Developer/Operator Mery Quintana and Amparo Pereanez for the proposed project at 636-638 Bennington Street. The proponent seeks variances, a liquor license for beer, wine and cordials and an entertainment license. The project is planning a restaurant and bar with a seating capacity of 20 people. Hours of operation from 8am to 10pm.
