Regina Gnerre
Past Vice President of The San Rocco Society of Boston, she was a woman who treasured her family
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours today, Wednesday, March 19th from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere for Regina (Leone) Gnerre who died peacefully at her home surrounded by the warmth and love of her family on Sunday, March 16th following a brief illness. She was 84 years old. Her Funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday March 20th beginning at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Regina was a native of San Nicola di Baronia Provence Avellino, Italy. She was born on August 5, 1940, to her late parents Giovanni Leone and Maria Filomena (Sciaraffa). Regina was one of eight children. She was raised and educated in Italy, before journeying to the United States when she was 15 years old settling in East Boston.
Regina worked as a seamstress for several years before marrying her husband, Antonio Gnerre on February 18, 1962 and immediately began a family.
In 1965, she and her husband moved to Revere. Regina took immense pride in her home and raising her children. She was a loving mother, and she enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She was a thoughtful, generous and kind soul, always taking time to call family and friends to say hello. Whatever she had, she was quick to share with others. Visits with her always ended with a “Thank you for coming” and a reminder to “be careful.”
Cooking was definitely one of her passions, especially her Sunday gravy. Regina was a woman who treasured her family and her grandchildren held a very extra special place in her heart. Regina was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing many of her own fruits and vegetables, as well as tending to her flowers that she planted around her home. She was the past Vice President of The San Rocco Society of Boston.
The beloved wife of the late Antonio Gnerre for 35 years, she was the loving mother of Antonietta DeGloria and her late husband, Edward of Lynn, Louis Gnerre of Burlington, John Gnerre of Revere, Maria Gnerre and her fiancé, Arthur Pelton, also
of Revere; the cherished mama nonna of Tyler Gnerre, Mikaila Gnerre, and Devin Gnerre; the dear sister of Carmela Favorito of Chelsea and the late Nicola Leone, Ubaldo Leone, Michael Leone, Carmen Leone, Benito Leone, and Mike Leone. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Robert “Robbie” Carrillo
Of East Boston
Robert P. “Robbie” Carrillo of East Boston, passed away on March 7, 2025 at 60 years of age.
The cherished son of the late Salvatore and Clara (Amodeo) Carrillo, he was the devoted father of Robyn Carrillo of East Boston; dear brother of Salvatore “Rudy” Carrillo Jr. of Medford, Ronald Carrillo of Revere, Kim Carrillo of East Boston, and the late Anthony “Tony” Carrillo and John “Jay” Carrillo and the adored Papa of Kayla and K. Jay. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dino D’Ambrosio
He had a huge personality and his presence was never missed when he was in the room
Dino J. D’Ambrosio of East Boston passed unexpectedly on March 11, 2025. The beloved father of Holly Cintolo and her husband, Joseph of Wakefield, he was the grandfather of Michael and Nicholas Cintolo; loving brother of Jolyne D’Ambrosio of East Boston and the late Lauren DeMato and her surviving husband Robert DeMato of East Boston; uncle of Michael DeMato and his fiancée, Nicolette D’Andrea, Jade DeMato and Ashley DeMato-Cooney and her husband, Kevin Cooney; grand-uncle of Brielle Lauren Cooney.
Dino had many occupations. He worked as a bartender, taxi driver, bookie and several other jobs. He loved gardening, cooking family meals on holidays and being the guardian of the 17 ingredient family cake recipe. He had a huge personality and his presence was never missed when he was in the room.

Albert “Buddy” Mangini Sr.
His life was defined by his passion for community, his love for bringing people together, and his unwavering dedication to public service
Albert J. “Buddy” Mangini Sr. of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025 after a long illness. He was 85 years old.
Born on July 26, 1939 to the late Albert L. and Nancy (Musto) Mangini, Buddy was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and dedicated community leader. Buddy was the proud father of Albert Mangini Jr. and his dear friend, Martha Hanlon of Wakefield and a loving grandfather to Anthony J. Mangini and his wife, Celia Mangini of Los Angeles, CA. He was the cherished brother of Frederick Mangini and his wife, Rosilda of Salem, NH, Joseph Mangini and his wife, Margy of Missouri, Nancy Pastore and her husband, John of Billerica and MaryAnn Matarazzo and her husband, Ron of Winthrop. He was also the former husband of Genevieve “Jeannie” Mangini.
A master public speaker, Buddy attended BC High School, graduating with the Class of 1957, and later studied at St. Michael’s College. His commitment to service was evident through his extensive involvement in numerous organizations. A longtime member of the Kiwanis Division 14, he served as president three times and was honored as a Lieutenant Governor, receiving the prestigious Red Jacket. He was also a past president and member of the East Boston Chamber of Commerce and played a pivotal role in organizing the renowned Columbus Day Parade, a celebrated event that drew crowds from near and far. Buddy was an active member of the Sons of Italy Sempre Avanti, a board member of the K Trust, and a dedicated Knight of Columbus, 2962, Bishop Cheverus 4th Degree. His service extended to the East Boston Social Center, the YMCA, and the Salesian Boys and Girls Club, where he was a guiding presence. He also served as president of the Sacred Heart Church board in East Boston and was a committed member of the Democratic Ward Committee.
Buddy’s life was defined by his passion for community, his love for bringing people together, and his unwavering dedication to public service. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, leadership, and commitment to East Boston and beyond.
Family and friends will honor Buddy’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home today, Wednesday, March 19, from 3 to 7 p.m. and again on Thursday morning at 8:30 before processing to St. Joseph – St. Lazarus Church for a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Buddy being laid to rest at Winthrop Cemetery, Belle Isle section. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Buddy’s name be made to the Salesian Boys and Girls Club of East Boston, 150 Byron Street, East Boston, MA 02128, in honor of his lifelong dedication to youth and community service.
