 Harbor View Neighborhood Association Meeting agenda

The next meeting of the Harbor View Neighborhood Association will be on March 3, 2025, at 6pm. The meeting is In Person only but will be streamed via Facebook for archival purposes. Attendance on Facebook does not qualify for voting. The meeting will be held in the Salesian Boys and Girls Club cafeteria, across from the Brooke Charter School on Byron Street. You can access the meeting from the front door on Byron Street or from the rear door on Wordsworth Street, which is the handicap entry, to avoid the stairs. We also have an elevator available from the front door. Since we are indoors, masks are optional for those in attendance.

Announcements (5min) FREE, Monthly Community Dinner at Sacred Heart Church, March 12, 5-7pm; 15th Annual Shamrock Splash, aka Polar Plunge at Constitution Beach, Sunday March 2, 11am-2pm; Greenway Meeting, at the BPL on Bremen Street, February 27, 6pm, focus on Climate Resiliency, Emergency Preparedness and Parks Dept. plans for improvements. Missing Persons Day, March 1, 2025, at Salesian Boys and Girls Club 10am-2pm, Sponsored by Mass State Police and the Boston Police. For families of anyone missing for more than 60 days. Project Place, Climb at Fenway to end Homelessness, April 26, 2025.

Station 7 Police Report (15min) Captain Bickerton, Sgt. Cintolo, Officers Mosley, Alvarez and Figueroa.

Eastie Farm (5min) Joel Seidner, Climate Resilience Project Manager, will share what is happening at the ‘Farm”.

Councilor Gabriela Coletta Zapata (20min) She will provide an update on her current and future work for District 1. Brief Q&A.

Tree Eastie (10min) Bill Masterson will review 2024 Successes By the Numbers; Collaboration with Boston University; 2025 “Intentions”, and requesting a Free Tree. Also, plans at the Cheverus Apartments.

Sammy Carlo’s Delicatessen/Catering (10min) Steve Scire, owner, will make a 2nd Presentation on his proposal seeking to apply for a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) license. An abutters meeting was held on February 4, 2025.  A VOTE will be taken on this proposal.

636- 638 Bennington Street (5min) HVNA has finally received the Project Form on the proposed project, and it is tentatively scheduled to be presented at the April 7, 2025, HVNA meeting.
