Bruno Victor Dello Iacono

January 8, 1945 ~ December 7, 2024

Bruno Victor Dello Iacono of East Boston passed away at his home on December 7, 2024 surrounded by his family while in hospice care from Care Dimensions Danvers, MA.

Born in the town and commune of Montemiletto in the province of Avellino, Campania, Italy, he was the son of the late Gennaro and Adelina (Censale) Dello Iacono, loving father of Anthony Dello Iacono and his companion, Stephanie Facchini of East Boston and Valentina Dello Iacono of East Boston; former husband to Giulia (Sirignano) Dello Iacono of East Boston; loving brother to the late Eva (Brogna) Dello Iacono of East Boston and brother to the late Valentina Dello Iacono of Montemiletto, Avellino.

Bruno came to the United Stated in 1963 and for forty years worked at the Boston shipyards in the area as a laborer and later worked for the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center in the facilities department and retiring from there. Throughout his work, Bruno became well known to the co-workers and staff and within the East Boston community.  He was awarded and recognized as the employee of the year while employed at the EBNHC.

Bruno resided at the former Lyman School building on Gove Street where many friendships were formed and the family would also like to extend their gratitude to the many friends he made while Bruno lived there.  The family would also like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center Pace Program of East Boston for their devotion and care of Bruno.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bruno’s visiting hours at Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral, 331 Main Street, Everett, on Friday, December 13 from 9 to 10:15 a.m.

Diane Carol Petty

Longtime John Hancock Employee

Diane Carol Petty, 87, passed away on November 25, 2024. Born in Boston on November 19, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Giunta) Drago. Diane spent her younger years living in the Boston area. She raised her family in East Boston and later resided in Revere. She was a longtime employee at John Hancock, working in the food service and retail departments.

Wanting to live her life to the fullest, she retired in her early fifties and moved to New Hampshire, where she cherished every moment spent with her family and enjoyed being a doting grandmother. Diane resided in Hooksett for over twenty years and was active in local senior social groups, participating in many community events with her friends.

Diane is survived by her sons, Michael Petty and his wife, Marilou of the Philippines and Richard Petty and his wife, Mary of Manchester; her grandchildren: Richard Petty Jr. and his wife, Colleen of Derry, Lauren Petty of Manchester, Daniel Petty and his wife Stephany of Allenstown and Julianne (Petty) Riley and her husband, Shane of Manchester; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Charlotte and Owen; as well as extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank Drago.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 5th at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
