The Salesian Boys & Girls Club will host their Annual Summer Camp Scholarship Auction and Fundraiser on Thursday evening, June 15, at 6 p.m. at Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East Boston, 150 Byron St.
This event will be an evening with good friends, good food, great prizes, and much fun while raising funds for a fantastic cause, our kids.
This year’s fundraiser will be an outdoor tented event. Representative Adrian Madaro and the Honorable Carlo Basile will be the Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer.
The Community Award will be presented to Thomas N. O’Brien, CEO, of The HYM Investment Group, LLC, for his outstanding service and support of our community’s youth.
The Don Bosco Award will be presented to Stanley DeMartinis, Sr. (Posthumous), for his dedication and generosity, which resonates with Don Bosco’s passion for helping the young.
Also, attendees will celebrate Fr. John Nazzaro, SDB, on his 40th Anniversary of Priestly Ordination.
The committee says, “please help us reach our goal of raising $40,000 in Camp scholarships. Funds raised will go directly to scholarships for children to attend our summer camp and Club programs. No child will ever be denied because of financial reasons. Your gift will help to ensure our kids have a great summer experience. “
