The Jeffries Point Neighborhood Association will host the Eastie Week Kick Off Party on Friday, July 12 from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Brophy Park. The Mayor and local elected officials will speak at 7:30 for this free event.
“We are thrilled to be able to start off Eastie Week” JPNA Board member Margaret Farmer stated “This event is in its 8th year, and brings many community members and organizations together who might not otherwise interact. It is a great way to see all Eastie has to offer.”
Mary Cole, JPNA Board Member stated “We are grateful to work with NOAH in bringing the community together. This Friday, we are showing the recently released: “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World”.
Community Partner, the East Boston YMCA will be providing activities from 7 until 8:15 pm, when the movie starts and The East Boston Social Centers has agreed to open the Lamson St playground as an overflow area. The District 7 Police Station will be bringing the Police Ice Cream Truck, and the Boston Water and Sewer Commission will have the water truck available as well, please bring a water bottle or reusable cup. Local realty company The Persac Group will be giving out sidewalk chalk, and posting photos of kids creation online. All are welcome to this free community event!
