Margaret Freda

Passed in her 102nd year

Margaret (Camerlengo) Freda of Peabody, formerly of East Boston, passed away on April 27. She was in her 102nd year.

The beloved wife of the late Pasquale Freda, she was the loving mother of Dennis Freda of Beverly and the late Ronald Freda; dear sister of Alice Seracusa of East Boston and the late Mildred Favors and Alfonso Camerlengo; cherished grandmother of Theresa Ferullo, and Bernadette Freda; great grandmother of Nicholas, Nikole and Jenna Ferullo and adored great great grandmother of Bradlee Ferullo. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Margaret’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach Street, Revere on Thursday morning, May 2 from 9 to 11 a.m.  followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. John Recupero

Hard working man who enjoyed family time

John Recupero of East Boston passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family on April 28 at the age of 50.

John was a hard worker since his early teenage years as a cook, carpenter and truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with his family.

He is survived by the love of his life, Shawnda Pugliese of East Boston, his daughters:  Brandi Ramirez and her husband, Jose of Revere, Amber and Charley Pugliese and his grandson, Noah Wooten, all of East Boston. He was the loving brother of Michelle Ross and her husband, Keith of Vernon, CT, Cathy Barton and her husband, Ed of Stoughton and the son of Joan Havey of Malden and the late Agripino “Chicky” Recupero. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will honor John’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston today,  Wednesday, May 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday morning at 8:30 before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, East Boston for a Funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life at 10 a.m. Cremation service to follow will be private. Della Gertrude Landry

Of East Boston

Della Gertrude (Kindred) Landry of East Boston died on April 22.

She was the beloved mother of James E. Hagan and his wife, Christine Magee-Hagan of Burlington, Emeline Thomas and her husband, Dale of Londonderry, NH, Walter Hagan and his wife, Nancy of Winchendon and the late Mary Jouni-Helmy, John Hagan, Leonard Hagan and Mark Anthony Hagan.  Della is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
