Jets open the season this Friday
The East Boston High School football team will kick off the season this Friday evening up in Lowell, taking on Lowell Catholic High School at the McCarthy Middle School field. Headcoach John Parziale begins his 9th season with a record of 48-36. A good crew of returning players and new seniors took to the home field at Sartori Stadium last week, despite the heat to prepare for the new season. Last year, the Jets were 6-4 and ended the season with a 16-0 win over South Boston on Thanksgiving Day. The game this year on Thanksgiving Day, November 22 is the 100th in the rivalry that began in 1903.
