Anthony ‘Tony’ Correia

Retiree of the City of Boston Engineering Department

Anthony “Tony“  Correia of Orient Heights East Boston passed away on May 19 at the age of 66.

Anthony, who retired from The City of Boston, Engineering Department, was the cherished son of Florence (Catrone) Correia and the late Antonio J. Correia; the beloved husband of Lourdes (Balatazo) Correia, dear brother of Janice “Jan” Russo of Stoneham, and the late Carol Correia and loving uncle to Dawnmarie Russo.

Funeral arrangements were by Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, Revere. Committal was private. Donations may be made in Anthony’s name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave.

Rita Lupoli

Of East Boston

Rita C. (Glynn) Lupoli died in East Boston on May 22.

The beloved wife of the late Nicola Lupoli, she was the mother of Theresa and her husband, Thomas Russell of Providence, RI, Lillian and her husband, Kenneth Grady of Lynn, Mary and her late husband, Steven Matarazzo of Revere, Roseanne and her late husband, Stanley Ankiewicz of East Boston, Nicola Lupoli and his wife, Deborah of West Roxbury, Dana Lupoli of East Boston and the late Domenic Lupoli; sister of Jean Churchill of Maine; grandmother of Kenneth Grady and his wife, Nicci, Starr Grady, Steven Matarazzo and his wife, Donna, Stacey Matarazzo and her husband, Daniel Rine, Caroline Duarte and her husband, Helio, Laura Torres and her husband, Orlando, Stanley Ankiewicz and his wife, Dawn and John Ankiewicz and his wife. Jennifer.  She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

John ‘Jack’ Hickey

Of Revere, formerly of East Boston

John “Jack” Hickey of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on May 23.

He was the loving life companion of Helen O’Hanley, devoted father of John F. Hickey Jr. and his wife, Sherri of Lynn, Barbara Tomczykowski and her husband, David of Peabody and Daniel Hickey of Florida; dear brother of the late Brendon, Robert, Cornelius, James Hickey and Ann Connery; adoring grandfather of Christopher Connor and his wife, Savannah and Daniel Connor and cherished great grandfather of Christopher Connor, Ava Connor, and Hailey Connor.

Robert Francis Pittman

Of Winthrop

Robert Francis Pittman of Winthrop passed away on May 28.

He was the Beloved husband of Virginia A. (Scarpa) Pittman, devoted father of Michele Skoczylas and her husband, Joseph of Winthrop; beloved brother to Patricia Martini of Stoughton, Rita Pittman of West Roxbury, Josephine Seekins of Winthrop, Dorothy LaFratta of Revere the late James Pittman, Gerard Pittman and Shirley Greene and the cherished grandfather to Joseph Robert, Michael Carmen, and Ryan James.

Pauline Marino

Of Revere, formerly of Lynn and Kentucky

Pauline (Merriman) Marino of Revere, formerly of Lynn and Russellville, KY, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her bedside on Thursday, May 24 at the age of 84.

Pauline was a frequent participant of the Rosetti-Cowan Senior Center, St. Anthony’s church Bingo and casino trips to Foxwoods and beyond.

She was beloved wife of the late Alfred R. Marino Jr., cherished daughter of the late Jesse and Louise (Hamilton) Merriman; adored and loving mother of Lillian P. Restuccia and her husband, Nicholas of Lynnfield, Betty L. Salemme and her husband, Michael of Winthrop, Pauline M. Lyons, Nancy M. Ranahan and her husband, Dennis, Geneva M. Famulari and her late fiancé, Joseph Cennanmi, all of Revere, Ronald J. Marino and his significant other, Mary Flaherty of North Reading and Lisa A. Marino of Saugus; dear sister of Richard “Tiny” Merriman of California and the late Jesse “Jake,” William “Odell,” Geneva Epley, Chester “Dick,” Carl and Mary Christine; cherished grandmother of Jason Sarmanian, John “JT” and Owen Lyons, Anthony Famulari, Joseph and Paul Restuccia  and Jillian Cennami and adored great grandmother of Celia Sarmanian. She is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.

Services will conclude with Pauline  being laid to rest with her beloved husband, Alfred in Woodlawn Cemetery. Rhonda J. (DiLuigi) Shire of East Boston, formerly of Revere, passed away unexpectedly on May 25.

She was the beloved wife of John Shire; devoted mother of Nico, Dante and Giovanni Shire; loving daughter of  Joseph DiLuigi and the late Janet (D’Amelio) DiLuigi and adored sister of Renee Armstrong and her husband, John; cherished aunt of Anthony and Brianna Miccichi; dear sister in law of JoAnne Shire-Vitale and her husband, Henry, Cynthia Woolcock and her husband, John and Stacy Ragucci and her husband, Vincent. She is also survived by her many fond aunts, uncles and cousins.

Roger Graham, Jr.

Cherished son, brother, uncle and friend

Roger Graham, Jr. of East Boston passed away suddenly on May 23 at the age of 34.

A graduate of East Boston High School and Suffolk University, he was the devoted son of Roger and Nancy (Collignon) Graham of Medford, dear brother of Krystal Hart of Winthrop, cherished uncle of Amiyah Hart and Aja James and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family and friends will honor Roger’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Hom,e 971 Saratoga St., East Boston today, Wednesday, May 30 at 8:30 a.m. before leaving in funeral procession to Sacred Heart Church Brooks St., East Boston for a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in celebration of his life. Services will conclude with Roger being laid to rest in Winthrop Cemetery. He was a cherished son, brother, uncle and friend to all who know him. He will be missed by all. May he rest in peace.
