Bernardina Scippa

Of Kaplan Estates, formerly of East Boston

Bernardina (Iapicca) Scippa of Kaplan Estates, formerly of East Boston, died on July 8.

She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo Raffaele Scippa; beloved mother of Maria Rosaria D’Itria and her husband, Anthony, Rocco Scippa and his wife, Zita, Linda Mirasolo and her former spouse, Joseph; adored grandmother of Dayna Geigner and her husband, Chris, Michael D’Itria and his wife, Tami, Michelle Korisianos and her husband, Peter, Stephen Mirasolo and his wife, Nicole, Bernardina Scippa and her husband, Alexis Mohamed, Maria Scippa, and Angelo Scippa and his wife, Marielle; great-grandmother of Nicolette, Gianna, Anthony, Ava, Alexa and Georgia; sister of Rocco Iapicca and his wife, Gaetana, Pasquale Iapicca and his wife, Janice, Gioconda and Ivonne Iapicca and the late Amelina and Giuseppe Scippa, Vincenzo, Romano and Adriana Iapicca. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends at the Kaplan Estates.

Her Funeral will be held from the Paul Buonfiglio and Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere today, Wednesday, July 12 at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Lazarus Church, East Boston at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mass General Neurology Department, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114 and Allcare Hospice, 210 Market St., Lynn, MA 01901.

Kim Tuttavilla

Will be remembered for her kind, gentle spirit, laughter and generous heart

Kim Theadora Tuttavilla of Chelsea, previously of Revere, passed away July 2 at the age of 63.

The beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Patricia Tuttavilla, she was the loving sister of Michael and his wife, Michelle, Mark and his wife, Maureen, and Mia and her husband, Andrew. She was a loving sister, a fun aunt, a dear cousin and niece and will be greatly missed.

Kim will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, for her laughter and her generous heart. Even while Kim may have endured many difficulties in life, she still retained her love of creating art which she did on a daily basis, whether in poetry or paints or pastels, and loved cooking for others and attending to her garden. Along with music, these were her greatest joys.

Services will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere on Thursday, July 13 beginning at 10 a.m. with a prayer service at 11a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Suffolk Mental Health Association, 37 Hawthorne St. Chelsea 02150 c/o Vernon Street Program.

Salvatore ‘Sal’ Bellanti

Worked as parts manager at Pallin Chrysler Plymouth in Chelsea

Salvatore J. “Sal” Bellanti of Bellingham, MA, passed away on Thursday, July 6 at Landmark Medical Center after being stricken at home. He was 61 years old.

Sal has been a resident of Bellingham since 1989 and was a former resident of East Boston where he was raised. A graduate of Brighton High School, Class of 1974, Sal worked as a construction foreman for the Mirra Construction Company in Newburyport for several years and at Pallin Chrysler Plymouth in Chelsea as a parts manager.

Sal loved animals and his walks with his golden retriever “Bruiser.” Devoted to his family, Sal will be greatly missed.

The beloved husband for 41 years of Linda J. (DeMers) Bellanti, he was born in Winthrop on February 23, 1956, the son of the late Guiseppe and Tina (Bellante) Bellanti. He was the loving father of Salvatore Jr. Bellanti of Fall River, Christopher M. Bellanti of Bellingham, Joseph A. Bellanti and his fiancée, Jacki Rose of Bellingham, Michael Bellanti and Stephanie Clark of Woonsocket, RI and Nicholas D. Bellanti of Bellingham. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren: Desmonde Bellanti, Isabella Bellanti, Christopher Sawka, Gavin Bellanti-Shunney, Nathan Bellanti, Jonathan Bellanti, and Dayne Sawka. He was the brother of Joseph Bellanti and his wife, Elizabeth of Winthrop, Anthony Bellanti and his wife, Susan of East Boston, Tina Zagarella of Ft. Pierce, FL, and the late Steven Bellanti and Camella Anderson.

His Funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 9 a.m. from Cartier’s Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at All Saints Church, 323 Rathbun St., Woonsocket, RI. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
