Michael Costa

Carpet Installer, Active member of Beachmont Yacht Club

Michael J. Costa of Winthrop, formerly of Revere and East Boston, died at home unexpectedly on Sunday, August 21. He was 41 years old.

Michael was born and raised in East Boston, attended Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of the North East Regional Vocational School in Wakefield. He worked for many years as a carpet installer for several local contractors but for the last several years he worked independently.  He was an active member of the Beachmont Yacht Club.

He was the loving son of John J. “Jack” Costa and his wife, Linda J. (Murray) Costa of Lynnfield; cherished brother of Cynthia J. Lander and her husband, Mark of Peabody, Linda J. Costa and David J. Costa, both of Wakefield; adored uncle of Rebecca Costa of Wakefield, Christine Lander, Joseph Lander and John Lander, all of Wakefield and is also lovingly survived by many cousins and friends.

Rose Maffei

Of East Boston

Rose ( Incerto) Maffei of East Boston passed away on August 23. She was 96 years old.

The beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Maffei, Sr., she was the loving mother of Joseph L.  Maffei and his wife, Nancy of Windham, NH, John Mafffei and his wife, Lisa of Wilmington and the late James Peter Maffei and his surviving wife, Karen DeSpirito of Melrose; cherished grandmother of Krista, Tyler, Lindsay, Spencer, Megan and John and dear sister of the late Palma Testa, Theresa Ardita, Mary Marrama, Dominic and Anthony Incerto. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Vazza’s “Beachwood” Funeral Home, Revere. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.  John Buckley

Of Worcester, formerly of East Boston

John A. Buckley of Worcester, formerly of East Boston, died on August 22.

John was a longtime member of the Jeffries Point Yacht Club He was also a former employee of First National Stores and Market Basket

The beloved husband of the late Isabel “Ann” (McKenna), he was the father of John J. Buckley and his wife, Christine and Mark T. Buckley and his wife, Heather; brother of Leo Buckley and grandfather of Kyla, Katelyn and Camden.

Funeral services were held in the Magrath Funeral Home, East Boston on Monday, August 29. Angela ‘Angie’ Zeuli

Of Saugus, formerly of Peabody and East Boston

Angela “Angie” (Mazzotta) Zeuli  of Saugus, formerly of Peabody and East Boston, passed away August 22 in Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old.

The loving mother of Richard Zeuli of New Hampshire, Angela Alexanian and her husband, Zachary of Groveland, and Anthony Zeuli of Florida, she was the cherished grandmother of Alissa Picanco and her husband. Brian, Robert Conrad Zeuli and Ali Celli; adored great grandmother of Adrianna and Myah Picanco and Jayden Zeuli; dear sister of the late Frankie and Joseph Mazzotta and cherished by her extended family: Karen and Dan, Sophia, Seirra Benger of Methuen, Lynn and Gary, Josh and Julia Dean of Chelmsford, Kathryn and Bruce Von Oesen and children of West Newbury.

Concetta Parziale

Of East Boston, formerly of Italy

Concetta Parziale of East Boston, formerly of Italy, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 27.

She was the beloved wife of the late Carmen Parziale, devoted mother of Carmen and his wife, Josephine of Revere, Michael and his wife, Linda of Michigan, Sharon Parziale-Dyer and her husband, John of Middleboro, Dennis and his wife, Lisa of Peabody, Theodore and his wife, Susan of North Carolina, Cindy Loring-Parziale of Revere and the late Richard and Steven Parziale. Concetta was pre-deceased by four brothers and two sisters; Ida, Giuseppe, Anna, Dino, Silvio, Giulio, and is survived by her sister, Maria. She was the cherished grandmother of 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Concetta‘s life by gathering on Friday, September 2 in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning at 8:30 before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks Street, East Boston for a Funeral Mass in celebration of Concetta’s life at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Concetta being laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.  For complimentary transportation to the funeral home for visitation, please call 617 569 0990.
