Kenneth J. Ivers of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston, passed away September 13.
He wa a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of VFW Post 671 of Beachmont Revere.
The former husband of Ann (Albano) Ivers, he was the loving father of Kelly Ivers of Malden and his companionm Angela Dough of Winthrop.

Norman Dean, Sr.
Former Proprietor of Dean’s News Co. and past employee of the Boston Herald
Norman W. Dean, Sr. of East Boston passed away on September 22.
A US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a past employee of the Boston Herald and former proprietor of Dean’s News Co.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rosemarie (Ferrara) Dean; devoted father of James Dean and his wife, Maria of Saugus, Joan Grato, Norman Jr and his wife, Rhonda, all of East Boston; dear brother of the late Robert Dean and Bernice Zirpolo and cherished grandfather of Kristi, Ronald, Andrea and Giana. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Norman’s life by gathering on Friday, September 25 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston and again at 8:45 a.m. Saturday before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, East Boston for a Funeral Mass in Celebration of Norman’s life at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Norman being laid to rest with Military Honors in Woodlawn Cemetery.
