Jets lose home opener, 30-0

The East Boston High football team kicked off the season with a disappointing home opening loss to Latin Academy last Friday evening.  The Dragons scored in the first quarter and had a commanding lead at 22-0 at halftime.  Neither team scored in the third.  A fourth quarter touchdown had the visitors celebrating a 30-0 win at the end of the game.  Scattered among an enthusiastic crowd cheering on both teams were East Boston high grads and coaches from other schools checking out both teams.  Next up for the Jets is English High this Friday at Sartori Stadium at 6 p.m.
