Anthony DeCarlo

Of Lynn, Formerly of East Boston

Anthony M. DeCarlo of Lynn, formerly of East Boston, died on April 11.

A US Navy veteran of World War II, he was the husband of Mary (Bocchetti) DeCarlo; devoted father of Mary E. Fronduto and her husband, Vincent of East Boston,

the late Anthony DeCarlo and his surviving spouse, Lynda; dear sister of Mary Long of East Boston; cherished grandfather of Jennifer and Jessica Fronduto, Elizabeth St. Andre and her husband, Thomas Joshua DeCarlo and his wife, Meaghan and the adored great grandfather of Thomas and Vincent. Special thanks is extended to Anthony’s devoted caretaker, Nellie O’Sullivan for all she has done.

Lisa Fortunato

Child Care Worker

Lisa M. (Reynolds) Fortunato, a 10 year resident of East Boston, died after a year long battle with metastatic cancer on April 13 at Boston Medical Center. She was 50 years old.

Born and raised in Leominster, she spent most of her life in the Fitchburg Area before moving to East Boston 10 years ago. She was a child care worker and caregiver for several agencies, the last being Rock & Roll Day Care of Boston.

She was the cherished fiance of Michael T. Corbett of East Boston with whom she made her home; the beloved mother of Chris Fortunato and his wife, Aleesa of Garland, Maine and Eric Marien of Somerville; dear sister of Cheryl Reymolds of Fitchberg and David Reynolds of Seattle, Washington and the devoted grandmother of Anton, Phoebe and Lily. She is also lovngly survived by The Colbert and Gay Family of family of East Boston and Medford.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, April 18 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere. A Funeral Memorial Service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 7:15 p.m. Interment will be private. Lenore Contarino

Of East Boston

Lenore J. (Amico) Contarino of East Boston passed away on April 10 surrounded by her loving family. She was 73 years old.

The cherished daughter of the late Mary (Romano) and Joseph Amico, she was the beloved wife of Michael Contarino; loving sister of Annette Johns and her late husband, Robert, Elaine Wallace and her late husband, John and the late Salvatore Amico; adored aunt of Darleen Welshons, Maureen Abate, Allen Welshons and his wife, Mary, Elaine Bertolino, Jodi Cirrone and her husband, Marc, Sean Wallace, Maryellen Wallace, Kathleen Wallace and Karen Minasian; caring step-mother of Anthony Contarino and his wife, Lori, Patty Contarino and Danielle Contarino and her husband, Josh and cherished grandmother of Brooke and Michael.

Carol Santangelo

Of East Boston

Carol Santangelo of East Boston died on April 9.

She was the loving daughter of the late Michael and Winifred (Joy) Santangelo; dear sister of Jimmy Santangelo and his wife, Arlene, Paula Santangelo-Boghosian and her husband, Leo, Donnie Santangelo, Judy Santangelo-Lee and her husband, Robert; cherished aunt of Michael Santangelo and his wife, Jean and their son Nicholas, Stefanie Santangelo and her partner, Chandra Smith, Lisa Boghosian, Abby Lee and the late Jason Boghosian. She is also survived by her adored canine, Sophie.

Elaine Lakey

Of Brookline, formerly of East Boston

Elaine C. (Felzani) Lakey of Brookline, formerly of East Boston, died on April 12.

Elaine, who was in the Orton Gillingham Study Group Teaching Children with dyslexia how to read, was the beloved wife of the late Keith G. She was the loving sister of Ernest Felzani and his wife, Lorraine; cherished aunt of Matthew Felzani and his wife, Marie and their children, Andrew, Abigail and Aiden, Adam Felzani and his wife, Rose and their children, Lucas, Lena and Lilly.

Family and friends will honor Elaine’s life by gathering on Monday, April 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston and again on Tuesday morning, April 22 in St Ignatius of Loyola Church, 28 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton from 9 to 10 a.m. before a Funeral Mass in celebration of Elaine’s life at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Elaine being laid to rest in Walnut Hills Cemetery Brookline next to her beloved husband, Keith. Francesca ‘Frances’ Pustizzi

Stitcher

Francesca “Frances” (Gigante) Pustizzi of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on April 13.

Frances was born in Italy and came to the United States when she was 39 years old. She worked as a stitcher for a Boston clothing company.

She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo Pustizzi; devoted mother of Carmelo Pustizzi and his wife, Kathleen of Billerica and Robert Pustizzi and his wife, Maria Garffio-Pustizzi of Medford; cherished grandmother of five and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons~Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St., Revere today, Wednesday, April 16 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
