With Whitey Bulger safe behind bars until his days run out, the contract on his nemesis Howie Carr’s head is gone and its once again safe for the media personality to drive the streets of Boston without having to look over his shoulder or constantly change cars and routes home.
So why would Carr be trying to get rid of his Jaguar at this stage of the game?
Last week, an Eastie resident and officer at District-7 station nearly won the WRKO AM 680 host’s car.
Officer Linda Labadini of Eastie was one of 20 pre-determined qualifiers for the chance to “Win Howie’s Jaguar!” during a live broadcast at the Fairways at Woburn Country Club as part of Happy Howie Days. Carr hosted the live broadcast last Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. during the grand prize event. \
Labadini and the other qualifiers received a $50 gift card to the Green’s Grill and Pub at Woburn Country Club and a gift package, courtesy of Perfect Smiles of Nashua.
Labadini, however, was unfortunately eliminated in the earlier rounds.
Jaguar Exeter, Perfect Smiles, the Fairways at Woburn Country Club sponsored the event and WRKO AM 680.
