Mary Pelusi

Housewife; of Saugus, formerly of East Boston

Mary C. (Bagnera) Pelusi of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, died on October 13. She was in her 92nd year.

A housewife, she was the beloved wife of the late Frank Pelusi with whom she shared 59 years of marriage; loving mother of Robert Pelusi, Marsha Scire and her husband, Mario and Barbara Beal, all of Saugus, Stephen Pelusi and his wife, Donna of Boxford and the late Francis Pelusi; dear sister of the late Evelyn Bennett, Beatrice Masterangelo, Helen Altivilla, Rose Peppino, Arlene Rizzuti and Joseph and Anthony Bagnera; cherished grandmother of eight and the late Janelle Garland and Kim Pelusi.

Eleanor Serino

Housewife, of Middleton, formerly of East Boston

Eleanor M. (Nazzaro) Serino of Middleton, formerly of East Boston, died on October 12.

A housewife, she was the beloved wife of the late Anthony A. Serino with whom she shared 62 years of marriage; loving mother of Albert J. Serino and his wife, Amy of Connecticut, Vincent J. Serino and his wife, Faraneh of Middleton, James A. Serino and his wife, Laura of Chelmsford and Joseph P. Serino and his wife, Georganne of New Jersey; dear sister of Rose Leone of Melrose and the late Salvatore Nazzaro; cherished grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 16.

Catherine McCarty

Of New Hampshire, formerly of East Boston

Catherine M. McCarty passed away on October 15 at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, New Hampshire. She was 88 years old.

She was born on August 5, 1925 in East Boston to Albert and Madeline (Laracy) St. George. The most important things in Catherine’s life were family, children, grandchildren, good food, travel, story-telling, limericks and laughter. She worked for over 25 years at the Temporary Home for Women and Children on New Chardon Street, Boston. In 1987, she retired and moved to Hampton, New Hampshire.

Catherine was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kenneth in November of 1980 and by the late Alice Mercurio, Helen Kochocki, Patrick, John, James and Richard St. George. She is survived by her daughter, Frances (Atkins) Haas of Stratham, NH; her brothers: Albert St. George of Billerica and Herbert St. George of Hope Mills, NC; her sister, Madeline McGowan of South Yarmouth; five grandchildren: Josh Atkins of Sherman Oaks, CA, Stephanie Haas Lemmer of Los Angeles, CA, Karen Lewis Gaglione, Kim Rogers and Kerri Ravida; eight great-grandchildren and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service was held at Magrath Funeral Home, East Boston on October 19. Burial will be at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. The family extends gratitude for the visits, flowers, mass cards and donations in her memory. Memorial donations to either the American Lung Association or American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

Anthony ‘Mafia’ Crisostamo

Of East Boston

Anthony “Mafia” Crisostamo of East Boston died on Oct 19.

He was the beloved husband of the late Marsha (Fendell) Crisostamo;dear brother of Ann Marie Kulder of Revere, Nicky Crisostamo of Florida, Joanne Amsden of Revere, John “Butchie” Crisostamo of New Hampshire and Richard “Ricky” Crisostamo of Revere; loving son of the late John P. and Lena (Accomando) Crisostamo and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and by his best friend, Michael Cucchiello.

His Funeral will be held from the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home (Orient Heights) East Boston on Thursday, October 24 at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Anthony’s life at Sacred Heart Church, Brooks Street, East Boston at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are today, Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Florence Feudo

Officer and Past Grand Regent of Catholic Daughters of America; enjoyed time spent with Rosetti-Cowan and Patriot Seniors

Florence (Mastromarino) Feudo of Revere, formerly of Everett, joined her lifelong love, Peter, in Heaven on October 16.

She was the Grand Regent of the former Court of St. James Lee #527 of Revere. After her term, she was appointed District Deputy and State Chairman of Admission & Extension by the State Regent of the Catholic Daughters of America and she was also a member of the Past Grand Regent Club. Following her retirement, she enjoyed being with her friends at the Rossetti-Cowan Center and the Patriot Seniors.

The beloved wife of the late Peter M. Feudo and daughter of the late Eutimia (Repucci) and Joseph Mastromarino, she was the devoted mother of Dr. Vincent and his wife, Bonnie of NorthPort, Florida, Joan Pietrantonio and her husband, Bill of Winston-Salem, NC, Dr. Peter and his wife, Dr. Julia of Lancaster, MA, and John and his wife, Jennifer of Littleton, MA; cherished “Nana” to her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Godmother of Julia Feudo, Ronald Marotta, Christopher Feudo and Roberta D’Amico and dear sister and aunt to many.

Funeral arrangements were by the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, Revere. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
