Excel Academy Charter School Welcomes Their Newest and Largest Class of Scholars

A heightened level of excitement and anticipation flooded the halls of Excel Academy Charter Schools last Wednesday as the school held its annual enrollment lottery at each of their middle school locations.

Excel Academy – East Boston, Excel Academy – Orient Heights and Excel Academy – Chelsea all offered seats to its rigorous, high performing college preparatory program to more students in Boston and Chelsea than ever before. This momentous lottery night was made particularly memorable by the services of three community members— YMCA East Boston’s Executive Director Josephine Cuzzi, Commissioner of the City of Boston’s Veterans Services Department Francisco Ureña, and Patricia Garcia, Director of Education at Chelsea’s Boys and Girls Club—who pulled the names of Excel’s newest scholars. Excel Academy welcomes its class of 2017 and extends its gratitude to the communities of East Boston and Chelsea for their continued support throughout the years.
