Gaetano Consolo

Retired Revere Policeman

Gaetano Consolo of Florida, formerly of East Boston and Revere, died unexpectedly on February 10.

A Retired Revere Policeman and a past member of the Mass. Policeman’s Association, he was the devoted father of Philip, Sr. of Revere and John of Rutland, MA; dear brother of John Consolo and his wife, Kathy of East Boston; loving son of the late Felice and Mary (Cannata) Consolo; cherished grandfather of  Philip Jr. and Jack T. Consolo and is also survived by many fond aunts, uncles and cousins.

His Funeral will be from the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., (Orient Heights) East Boston on Friday, February 15 at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of his life at St. Anthony’s Church, Revere at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Filippo Ilardi of East Boston died on February 8.

The beloved husband of the late Catherina (Sero) Ilardi, he was the loving father of Carmen Ilardi of East Boston; beloved brother of Rosario Ilardi and his family and Vincenzina Sambataro and her family.

Sandra A. (Harris) Ortiz of East Boston, formerly of Jamaica Plain, died on February 4.

The beloved wife of the late Luis M. Ortiz, she was the loving mother of Freddy Ortiz and his wife, Josefina of Shelton, CT, James Ortiz and his wife, Sabrina of Revere, John Ortiz, and Luis Ortiz and his wife, Denise of Revere; cherished grandmother of Paul, Michael, Christina, Freddy Jr., James Jr., Justin, Jacob, Luis Jr., Isabella, Jonathon, and Linda; great-grandmother of Jocelyn and Anthony; dear sister of James Harris and his wife, Jean of Malden, Christina Gerald of Newbury and the late Lawrence Harris and his surviving wife, Beverly of Quincy. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Retired Educator and Past President of the Salem State Alumni Association

Elaine F. (Monahan) Dacey of Winthrop passed away on February 6. She was 70 years old.

She was the beloved wife of 48 years of William H. Dacey. Born in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Elizabeth F. (Murphy) Monahan; devoted mother of Kevin P. Dacey of East Boston, Susan E. Bellis and her husband, Donald of Auburn, WA, Maureen D. Nevers and her husband, Patrick of Randolph, VT, Kathleen T. Cesareo and her husband, Lawrence of Revere, Brian W. Dacey of Winthrop and Kristen M. Dacey of Tacoma, WA; dear sister of Joyce Moore of Bradford, VT and Charles Monahan of Winthrop and the cherished ‘Grammy’ of Nickolas, Lyncoln, and Jacob Bellis and cherished ‘Mammy’ of Delaney and Carter Cesareo. Karen A. (Keohane) Belanger of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on February 4.

She was the beloved wife of Robert J. “Bo” Belanger; loving mother of Nadine Bousaleh and her husband, Rob of So. Weymouth and Sherry Belanger of Revere; cherished daughter of the late Red and Fannie Keohane; dear sister of Timothy Keohane and Catherine Brayden-Strelitz of East Boston, Eileen Darling of Malden, Elaine Tripp of Saugus and the late Joseph F. Keohane, Jr. She is also survived by two loving grandchildren, Gianna and Olivia as well as by many nieces and nephews.
