The East Boston Athletic Board’s 4th Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament Sunday at the East Boston Stadium was a success. The annual tournament raised over $700 for the EBAB’s scholarship awards dinner to be held in June 2013. The event was one of several fundraising events that will be held throughout the year to raise money for the board’s high school scholarships.
Fifteen teams competed in the tournament and this was plenty of good natured heckling, fierce play a lots of homeruns as each team vied to be crowned Tournament Champs.
The final two teams standing were team Forbes and team Greathead. With the Forbes team leading, Greathead came back to win the entire event.
The next fundraiser will be held in the fall during the annual tailgate party at the East Boston yacht Club.
