Successful businesswoman known for her signature wit
Catherine “Kay” L. (Bridgeman) McKinnon, a long-time resident of East Boston, passed
away peacefully on June 21 at the age of 100.
Catherine was a successful businesswoman for many years in the greater Boston area
known for her signature wit. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Born in Boston, Catherine was the cherished daughter of the late John T. and Margaret (Fortune) Bridgeman, the beloved wife of the late John McKinnon, the devoted mother of the late George S. Laundry, the grandmother of Kirsten Laundry, Emily Marrama, Katy and Billyjack Calkins and the
great-grandmother of George, Dale and Bella. Catherine was the dear sister of the late
John T. Bridgeman, Margaret Yanovich and Mary A. Coleman, the loving aunt of Mary A. Coleman of Winthrop, the late Kathleen A. Corcoran and her husband, William of Winthrop, Diane F. Fitzpatrick and her husband, William of Boston, Michael F.
Coleman and his wife, Jacqueline of North Fort Meyers, Florida, and Paul Yanovich of
Weymouth. She is also survived by several great nieces and great nephews.
