The next meeting of the Harbor View Neighborhood Association will be on February 3, at 6 p.m. The meeting is In Person only but will be streamed via Facebook for archival purposes. Attendance on Facebook does not qualify for voting. The meeting will be held in the Salesian Boys and Girls Club cafeteria, across from the Brooke Charter School on Byron Street. You can access the meeting from the front door on Byron Street or from the rear door on Wordsworth Street, which is the handicap entry, to avoid the stairs. We also have an elevator available from the front door. Since we are indoors, masks are optional for those in attendance.

Saratoga Street/Westbrook and Wordsworth Streets STOP SIGNS installed as part of safety improvements for the neighborhood. Thanks to Luke Fanuele and Councilor Coletta Zapata. So please look out for the new signage and stop when travelling on Saratoga Street.
McLean Park (5min) Update from Barbara Puopolo on the status of the project with regards to funding from the city and the CPA. Possible next steps.
15th Annual Shamrock Splash (5min) Save the Harbor/ Save the Bay fundraiser for our Better Beaches Grant Program. The SPLASH (aka polar plunge) is on Sunday, March 2, 11am-2pm at Constitution Beach. This is a fun event to participate in or to just watch these brave souls.
Boston Scores (5min) The annual Poets’ Banquet is on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Zumix. 14 Boston Public Schools (300 kids) participated in this contest at the Strand Theatre. The theme is “EMPATHY”. Each school nominated 2 poet-athletes to perform for Poet Athlete of the Year at Zumix. 636- 638 Bennington Street (5min) HVNA has not received the Project Form on the proposed project yet and has not heard anything from the owner or the attorney on their plans. When an initial presentation occurs, the next step will be for a vote on the project at a subsequent meeting. Once the community requirements are met, then the project can go before the Licensing Board and the Zoning Board. Further discussion.
