It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia (Diminico) Belanger a beloved wife, sister-in-law, aunt and dedicated educator. Patricia departed this world on December 18, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to education.

Born on May 9, 1943, Patricia was the daughter of Nicholas and Louise (Politano) Diminico. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of her family and her upbringing laid the foundation for the compassionate and caring person she became. Patricia entered into a lifelong partnership with Paul Belanger and together they shared decades of love, laughter and countless cherished memories.

Patricia was not only a devoted wife but also a beloved sister-in-law to Robert Belanger, Joey Belanger and Dorothy Belanger. Her extended family included numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart, and she, in turn, played an integral role in their lives.

Throughout her remarkable career, Patricia dedicated over 25 years to shaping the minds of young learners as a Boston Public School teacher. Her passion for education and her students shone brightly during her tenure at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School. Patricia’s impact reached far beyond the classroom, as she inspired countless students to reach for the stars and believe in their dreams.

Patricia will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to her family, her boundless generosity, and her ability to find joy in the simplest moments of life. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her teaching and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her.

Family and friends honored Patricia’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston on Friday, December 22nd and again on Saturday, December 23rd before leaving in procession to St. Anthony’s Church for a Funeral Mass. Services concluded with Patricia being laid to rest at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Peabody. To leave an online condolence visit www.ruggieromh.com.
