Another week in the books for the EBMHL, and once again Porrazzo Rink saw nothing short of fantastic hockey. Last season, the EBMHL carried 6 teams. Due to an overwhelming response from hockey players all over the Boston area Commissioner Ron Moore and Co-Commissioner Jeff Arinella were forced to bring in a 7th team for Season 2. Tuesday night September 21, the EBMHL welcomed that 7th Team, Yellow Taxi, to the ice.
In game 1, Yellow Taxi took on Sound Decison in what was an absolute barn burner that ended deadlocked at 5. Leading the way for Sound Decision was Dominic DiMarzo who buried the hat trick. Dave Couldren and Joe Duca Jr. had the single tallies for Sound Decision. DiMarzo finished the game with 4pts. Doing the scoring for Yellow Taxi were Paul Munzione and Michael Preston who notched 2 goals a piece. The other goal was scored by Jim Leger.
Game 2 ceratinly didnt start the way it finished with Bll Ashes defeating the Comets 10-5. These two teams grinded it out in what seemed to be a battle to the finish, but it was Bill ashes who pulled away late to seal the deal. Leading the onlslaught for Bill Ahes was Gerard Cioffi, who had 3 goals and 4 assists followed by David Chiaradonna who had 2 goals and 2 assists. Other goals for Bill Ashes came from Darrell Interbartolo who had a pair, and Red Lane.
