His love of family was first and foremost

Philip M. Bean, 77, of East Boston and Center Ossipee, NH passed away at home on August 31, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Philip was the son of Vernon and Marita Bean of Hinesburg, Vermont; the cherished husband of Donna Baptista-Bean, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage, and the wonderful father to Danielle Bean Becker and Ericka Bean Cacciola; father-in-law to two extraordinary sons in law, Det. Matthew Becker (BPD) and Eddie Cacciola with whom he shared his favorite hobbies. Philip was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren whom he adored: Lucas P. Becker, Addison K. Becker, Jackson T. Becker, Dominik D. Cacciola and Stella R. Cacciola.

Philip served his country (USN) with great pride and was always proud to be an American. His love of the outdoors from an early age fostered his love of hunting, fishing, boating and snowmobiling. An accomplished athlete in his younger years, it brought him great joy to watch and mentor his grandchildren on the sport fields or on the wrestling mat. Philip was a USPS career employee and a longtime member of The Danvers Fish and Game Club, where his name appears on their trophy walls numerous times.

Philip’s love of family was first and foremost. He enjoyed spending time with them especially in his favorite place, New Hampshire. Philip was the dear brother of Vernon Bean and his wife, Carol (N. Carolina), Virginia Turner and her husband, Glen (Tennessee), and Susan Lascelles and her husband, Michael (Vermont), along with many loving nieces and nephews.
