Maurice S. Hurley, of East Boston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 92 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine (Sinatra) Hurley. Devoted father of Linda McCormack and her late husband Brian of Revere, and Paula Ligotti and her late husband Joseph Jr. of Tewksbury. Dear brother of Patrick Hurley of New Hampshire, James Hurley of Maine, and the late John, Thomas, Mark, and Francis Hurley. Cherished grandfather of Anthony Ligotti, Francesca Ligotti, and Andrew McCormack. Longtime companion of Susan Craig. Family and friends will honor Maurice’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston, on Friday, September 11th from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and again on Saturday, September 12th from 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Parish, Brooks Street, East Boston, for a funeral Mass celebrating his life at 10:00 A.M. Services will conclude with Maurice being laid to rest at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Peabody.
