Thanks to our young and diverse population with among the state’s highest rates of uninsurance, East Boston is one of the state’s priority communities in order to enroll our residents in a health insurance plan.
Individuals can now sign up for health insurance policies through the Health Connector. This will be the first year following the COVID-19 pandemic to feature a full, in-person enrollment campaign. Residents can sign up for coverage in one of three ways:
— at www.MAhealthconnector.org.
— over the phone at 1-877-MA-ENROLL
— through local walk-in centers that have again re- opened.
Health insurance is mandated under state law. The Mass. Health Connector provides a simple and inexpensive way for everyone to obtain health insurance.
