The next meeting of the Harbor View Neighborhood Association will be on September 12, 2022 at 6pm. Remember this meeting is a week later than our usual first Monday of the month, due to the Labor Day Holiday. The meeting is In Person only, but will be streamed via Facebook for archival purposes. Attendance on Facebook does not qualify for voting. The meeting will be held in the Salesian Boys and Girls Club cafeteria, across from the Brooke Charter School on Byron Street. You can access the meeting from the front door on Byron Street or from the rear door on Wordsworth Street, which is the handicap entry, to avoid the stairs. Since we will be indoors, masks are optional for those in attendance.

• Station 7 Police Report (15min) Sgt. Cintolo, Officer Domenico and Officer Mosley
• Love Your Block (5min) Annual neighborhood cleanup. Seeking volunteers to help clean up trash, papers and other debris from the sidewalks and gutters. Meeting place will be Salesians on Byron Street.
• Italian Heritage Day (5min) Steve Scire from Carlo’s Catering will speak to us about a planned celebration on October 9, 2022 at Salesians Parking Lot from 1pm to 5pm. A fun day for friends, neighbors, families to get together to eat, listen to music, dance and enjoy the season.
• Cargo Ventures (20min) Update the neighborhood on this previously presented plan to improve the Chelsea Creek shoreline for climate change, walking, biking and trucking. Also other beneficial features of this proposed development project off of McClellan Highway Route 1A.
• Neptune Circle Tree Planting (10 min) Discuss the new project by Tree Eastie, Speak for the Trees and HVNA to add street trees to Neptune Circle. The tentative planting date will be September 25. Looking at about 12 trees to be planted to reduce noise and air pollution; add beauty and provide shade to cool our streets.
• New Business (10min) Opportunity for members to discuss or share ideas for future meetings.
