The Summer East Boston Social Centers active adults program is for adults 60 and over.

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
10am – 1pm
July 1, 2021 – August 26, 2021
Coffee and snacks will be available every day. Feel free to bring in your own snacks or lunch if you prefer.
Mondays: Game Day: Bingo (50 cents per card/10 games), Board Games and Card Games.
Wednesdays: Arts and Crafts
Thursdays: Social Hour & Fun Exercise (TBA), Zumba, Dance, Sing Along and Karaoke.
Also: Speakers to be scheduled (Mayor Janey, Councilor Lydia Edwards, Age Strong Commissioner Emily Shea, BPD Community Officer, etc.)
Virtual Programming on Fridays: Virtual Coffee Hour (Zoom) 12noon and Virtual Bingo (Zoom) 1:30-3:30.
VROCC is handicap accessible. Please enter on the Meridian Street ramp, to the left of the main entrance and proceed to the elevator. Elevator is somewhat slow and you must keep your finger on the “B” button until you reach the floor. A quick left then right through the double doors into the room. Here you can either proceed to the lift or go down a few steps to be in our program space.
Even as our communities relax outside our walls, we cannot waiver in our commitment and vigilance in preventing the spread of the virus. Therefore we are asking all who participate in our Active Adult Program to respect social distancing guidelines by sitting only 3 to a table, and to wear their masks except for when they are at their table, eating or drinking. All EBSC staff have been vaccinated and we hope that all our participants have been vaccinated as well. If you have not been vaccinated we ask that you please wear your mask at all times for consideration and the safety of your fellow participants in the program.
Tables and chairs will be set up and sanitized every morning. There will be masks available for anyone that needs one. Bathroom will be sanitized every hour. We will cap the maximum capacity to 30 people per day.
