Trenton Street Murder Being Investigated:Second Young Man to be Stabbed to Death in Eastie in Two Weeks

Another 15-year-old has been murdered in East Boston in just over two weeks.

The Boston Police have identified the victim of Sunday’s stabbing on Trenton Street as Irvin Depazm, 15, of Chelsea. Depazm, according to Boston Police, was stabbed in the middle of the afternoon Sunday in broad daylight on a residential street yet no one who may have seen or heard the crime happening has come forward.

“This can sometimes be the frustrating part,” said District 7 Community Officer Danny Simmons at Monday night’s Orient Heights meeting. “Here we have a kid stabbed to death on a street on a beautiful day and no one saw anything.”

According to police at about 5:11 p.m. on Sunday, September 20 officers assigned to District 7 responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in the area of 72 Trenton Street. On arrival, officer located a male victim suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.

Depazm is the second 15-year-old to be murdered in Eastie this month. On September 7, the body of Wilson Martinez was found at Constitution Beach. His death was ruled a homicide. Martinez was stabbed to death as well and police have yet to make an arrest in that case.
