Gennaro ‘Jerry’ D’Amico

Gennaro “Jerry” D’Amico of East Boston, passed away on Saturday, December 13. He was 96 years old.
Born in Canosa, Italy in 1918 to Anna Rosa (Iannuzzi) and Pasquale D’Amico with whom he immigrated to Boston along with his siblings.
Jerry served in the US Navy in World War II and was an electrician at the Boston Shipyards and he also worked at the Federal Reserve Bank.
He was the beloved husband of the late Vincenza (Tuttavilla) D’Amico; loving father of Pasquale “Pat” D’Amico and his wife, Nancy, Gennaro “Jerry” D’Amico, Jr. and his wife, Denise and Rosanne Maher and her husband, Robert; cherished grandfather of Kevin Jacques and his wife, Stephanie, Steven D’Amico and his wife, Lisa and Caitlin and Loren D’Amico; great-grandfather of Christopher, Nicholas, Zachary and Gennaro III; caring brother of the late Sabina Spagone and Anna Mattoli and is also survived by his sisters-in-law Rose Stilla and Camille Tuttavilla and brother-in-law Joseph Tuttivilla and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Jerry’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere on Friday, December 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. Saturday before leaving in procession to St. Anthony’s Church, Revere for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in his honor at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. A past member of the Malden Moose, he was the beloved husband of Elena “Ellie” (DiPierri) Brown; devoted father of Denise Harris of New York, Cheryl and Stephen Brown and Mary Passino, all of East Boston; dear brother of Ernest Brown of Revere and the late Harold and Leslie Brown and the cherished grandfather of David and Stephen Harris and Isabella Brown. Salvatore Rosato of East Boston passed away on December 11 surrounded by his loving family.
He was the loving father of Giovanni Rosato and his wife, Samantha of Marblehead; dear brother of Margherita Pasquariello of East Boston, Lorenzo, Luigi, Angelo and Mario Rosato, all of Italy and the late Michele Rosato and is also survived by three loving grandchildren; Gianni, Leonardo and Matteo as well as by many loving nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law, cousins and friends.

Donato DiPietro of East Boston died on December 3.
A former member of Laborer’s Union #22, he was the beloved husband of Irma (Basile) DiPietro; loving father of Lucia D’Amelio and her companion, Matteo Fabiano of Revere and Rita Marifiote and Richard DiPietro of East Boston; dear brother of Antonio and Mario DiPietro of Haverhill and is also survived by seven loving grandchildren and one loving great- grand daughter.

Margherita (Cristallo) Edmonds of Derry, NH, formerly of East Boston, died on December 12 after a long illness.
Margherita was born in Italy and arrived in the United Street at the age of age three. She was raised in East Boston where she lived until 1996 when she settled in Derry, NH. She was a legal secretary as well as a licensed real estate agent. When not working, Margherita enjoyed arts and crafts.
She was the beloved wife of William J.; devoted mother of William F. Edmonds of Derry, NH; cherished daughter of Guerino and Gina (Cenca) Cristallo; dear sister of Anthony Cristallo, all of East Boston and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
