State Treasurer Steve Grossman is no stranger to East Boston. In fact, his family goes so far back here they are buried in the Jewish Cemetery off Bennington Street.
During the campaign in which he was elected, Grossman was a frequent visitor here – and he didn’t just come to say his thing – he solicited the interest of our residents and of our elected public officials as he went about getting himself elected.
Seeing him recently and listening to his deeply personal address before the East Boston Kiwanis Club, one gets the feeling that Grossman isn’t just passing through.
He really cares – and East Boston has a real friend in the state treasurer.
