Ernest "Ernie" D’Alosio of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on May 24.
A US Army veteran of World War II, he was the beloved husband of Elvira (DiPrimio) D’Alosio with whom he shared 64 years of marriage; loving father of Donna Church of Maryland, Ernie D’Alosio of New Hampshire and Patricia Pitari and her husband, Richard, of Georgetown; dear brother of the late Eleanor Contestabile, Mafalda D’Alosio, Alfred and Gino D’Alosio; cherished grandfather of six and great grandfather of four.

John Gavegnano
Former owner of Quality Baking Company of East Boston
John L. Gavegnano of Quincy, formerly of East Boston, died on May 22 at the Braintree Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was 89 years old.
Born in Boston on March 12, 1921, he was the loving son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Coriani) Gavegnano. He served in the US Army during World War II as a Technical Sergeant in the Pacific theater and took part in the liberation of the Philippines. He was a baker and the former owner of the Quality Baking Company in East Boston. Mr. Gavegnano was also a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his children, Philip Gaven and his wife, Estrella, of Abington, Claudia Giglio of Hanover and Peter Gaven of Quincy. He was the cherished grandfather of Michael, Justin Kendra, Kyle, Alex and Jared.
Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy on Thursday, May 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Private burial with full military honors will be held in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.

A US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was the beloved husband of Sonya (Kenney) Centofanti; father of Lisa Polito and Tara Leary, both of Lynn, Andrea Centofanti of Revere and Mallory S. Elaine M. (Dorgan) Maguire-Kennedy of Marshfield, formerly of East Boston, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 20 at the Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness. She was 76 years old.
Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Florence P. (Pecora) and James Dorgan. Prior to her retirement she was an Administrative Clerk for the United States Post Office.
She was the devoted wife of the late Peter Maguire and loving wife of Eugene Kennedy of Everett; loving mother of Kathleen Jackson and her husband, Ray, of Andover, Noreen Gunther of Winthrop and Patricia Maguire-Feeney and her husband, Bernard, of Connecticut; sister of Dianna Anderson and her husband, Jack, of Winthrop, James M. Dorgan and his wife, Joanne, of Boyton Beach, FL and sister in law of Joanne Dorgan of Saugus; beloved grandmother of Caitlin and Thomas Jackson, Melanie Metcalf, Jillian Gunther, Peter McCloud, Meghan, Peter and Erin Feeney. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Supported by her loving family, she will be missed dearly as the beloved "Pearl".

Janice Ann (Howard) Boehner of Rockland, MA died on May 20 at the South Shore Hospital after a period of failing health. She was 66 years old.
She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia (O’Neil) Howard and was raised and educated in East Boston. She was a graduate of Boston Girls High School.
A Rockland resident for the past 32, Mrs. Boehner had served as a foster mother in the D.S.S. system to hundreds of children. She always placed family first and was dedicated to her own children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Elvin T. "Al" Boehner, her children Denise M. Taylor and her husband, David, Tammie J. Ryan and her husband, Patrick, and Thomas J. Boehner and his wife, Lisa, all of Rockland. She was the sister of Lois Morelli and Marcia Howard of Winthrop and Jill Paru of Middleton. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Donna M. (DeMonte) Vincola of Weymouth, formerly of Braintree and East Boston, died May 22 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 57 years old.
She was raised and educated in East Boston and lived in Braintree before moving to Weymouth 16 years ago. She was a former Real Estate Agent for Anzalone Realty in the North End, Boston and was also a Licensed Practical Nurse. She loved to vacation in Aruba and visited there every March for 25 years.
She was the beloved wife of Donald D. Vincola; devoted mother of Jennifer Buckley and her husband, Brian, of Whitman, Mark Vincola of Weymouth and Christopher Vincola of Brooklyn, NY; daughter of Domenic DeMonte of East Boston and the late Antionetta (Milano) DeMonte; sister of Debra Concannon of East Boston, Diana Pirone of Winthrop and the late Domenic Sonny DeMonte. Anthony Laurence Casarano

Anthony Laurence Casarano of Everett, an East Boston native who moved to Everett 25 years ago, died at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Boston on May 17 following a brief illness He was 66 years old.
Born in Cambridge and raised and schooled in East Boston, he was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1961. He entered the US Navy in August of 1963 and served until August of 1969. Early in his working career, he worked as a mechanic for Norelco in the Anderson Power project. He retired after seven years of service with Local 22 at Logan Airport.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Camille A. (Suarez) Casarano and his children, Anthony L. Jr. and his wife, Lee Anne of Londonderry, NH, Kerri Anne Casarano and her companion, Thadeus Darcy of Malden and Steven M. Casarano and his wife, Erika, of Methuen. He was the dear brother of Anne Marie Venti and her husband, Richard, of Dracut and the late Nicholas and Michael Casarno and the proud and cherished Grampy to Grace M., Maria R., Arthur R. and Joseph Casarano; loving cousin of the Interbartolo family and the life long friend of Louis Lauria of Peabody, Adeline and Joseph Ciarcia of Danvers, Trudy Lumia of Tewksbury and the late Larry Lumia.
