The East Boston Holiday Lighting Committee has started efforts in fundraising and planning out the Christmas and New Year Holiday Season. In its third year, the committee has raised funds to light up the business districts of Orient Heights, Day Square, Central and Maverick Squares.
“Our hope is to keep growing the program and continue to light up East Boston and expand in other neighborhoods. We are also hosting another Christmas Party for the East Boston children on December 6th courtesy of the Hilton Garden Inn and the East Boston Holiday committee. Each year we see the enthusiasm to celebrate Christmas, and more residents and businesses are decorating to make Eastie as festive as can be.”
The committee is also accepting donation for wreaths in memory of loved ones. Wreaths will be placed on the streetlamp poles throughout the squares.
