Chambers graduates from Nichols College
Mary Chambers of East Boston,, graduated with a Master of Science in Accounting from Nichols College during the College’s May 3, 2025, commencement exercises at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. Anne F. Ackerley, a senior advisor to the retirement business at BlackRock and former head of the firm’s U.S. Retirement Group, delivered the commencement address.

Genesis Funes, Named to Dean’s List
Assumption University has announced that Genesis Funes, of East Boston, Class of 2026, has been named to the University’s Dean’s List for the spring 2025 semester. Students named to the Dean’s List must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester to be included on the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters.
“Earning the right to be named to the Assumption University’s Dean’s List is an extraordinary accomplishment and we congratulate those students who demonstrated exemplary academic excellence this semester,” said Assumption University President Greg Weiner, Ph.D. “These students have demonstrated a deep commitment to the pursuit of truth in the company of friends that lies at the heart of the Catholic liberal education Assumption provides.”

Curran Graduates from Stonehill College
Anna Curran was one of 614 students to process at Stonehill College’s 74th Commencement, held on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
During the ceremony, former Red Sox announcer Joe Castiglione gave the keynote address. He also received an honorary Doctor of Human Letters degree alongside Elizabeth (Fox) Hayden ‘76, a member of Stonehill’s Board of Trustees.
