The East Boston Jets, led by Coach John Parziale (14th season), are 5-4.  The team ended the season with a neat win over Dracut last Friday evening in a non-league clash 26-25.  Star of the game was senior Gabe Silva who rushed for two touchdowns and hauled in a 30 yard touchdown reception.

The South Boston Knights, led by Coach Germaine Sattiewhite (7th season) have been rebuilding this past fall and have managed to put together a team capable of playing for Thanksgiving Day.  The rivalry began in 1903 but over the years, there have been games cancelled or missed for various reasons that have included snow storms and more recently, the Covid pandemic in 2020.  South Boston last won the Thanksgiving Day game in 2008 by a score of 34-6.  East Boston has a 14 year win streak on the line as the game approaches.  Overall, East Boston leads the series at 55-42.  All are welcomed to come out and cheer on both teams.
