William Delfino

Loved rock and roll music

William V. “Billy” Delfino died in East Boston on Nov. 11.

Billy was a great lover of rock and roll music and playing his guitar.

He was the beloved longtime companion of Linda Pease of East Boston and dear son of the late Vincenza (Giusto) Scannelli-Delfino and William A. Delfino. He is survived by his loving sisters, Loretta Lupo and Patricia Carbone and brothers, Anthony, Robert, Joseph Ralph. He was the brother of the late Rocco Scannelli.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Billy on Monday morning, Nov.  26 in the Most Holy Redeemer Church, 72 Maverick St., East Boston at 10 o’clock.  Visiting with the family before Mass will begin at 9:30 a.m.  Interment will be private.   Please send condolences to the family at MagrathFuneralHome.com

Former Vice President of Fidelity Investments

  1. Kim Pelosi died in East Boston on Nov. 7.

Kim received her Bachelor’s Degree from Boston College and her Master’s Degree from Babson College.  She was formerly a vice-president at Fidelity Investments.

She was the beloved daughter of Josephine M. (Colluccini) of East Boston and the late John E. Pelosi and is survived by the love of her life, Jim Baglio as well as many cousins.

Kim’s Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Joseph – St. Lazarus Church, East Boston and was followed by entombment in Woodlawn Mausoleum.

Kim’s family would like to express their thanks to all her friends and caregivers who helped over the years in her long battle with cancer.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kim’s memory to either Dr. Gregory Robbins at the Infectious Disease Dept. or to the Oncology Dept., both at Mass. General Hospital, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114 would be greatly appreciated.

Josephine Powers

Of East Boston

Josephine A. (Petrivelli) Powers died in East Boston on Nov. 14.

She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Powers Sr., mother of Karen Basbas of Framingham, Joyce Dragon of Louisiana and the late Jo-Ann D. and John H. Powers Jr. ; sister of Barbara Lena of Stoneham and Gino Petrivelli of Largo, FL. Josephine was the grandmother of eleven and the great-grandmother of eleven.

Private graveside services will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the American Heart Assn. would be appreciated. Arrangements are by Magrath Funeral Home.
