Mary (Catalano) Day, a life-long resident of Jeffries Point East Boston, passed away on Monday, July 30. She was 96 years old.
The cherished daughter of the late Angelo and Philomena (Zagarella) Catalano, she was the beloved wife of the late Stuart Day, loving mother of Richard Day and his wife, Maria and Carol Day, adored grandmother of Jessica and Richie Day and caring sister of Angela Amirault and her husband, Norman and the late Emmanuel and Joseph Catalano and Phyllis West. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral arrangements were by Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, Revere. Interment was at St. Michael Cemetery in Roslindale.

She was the loving sister of JoanÊDiCensoÊand her husband,ÊSaverioÊof East Boston and the late JosephÊBarisano, JeanetteÊMartiniello,ÊRaffaelaÊGuarinoandElaineÊCoglianoÊ. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Marilyn A. DeFilippis of Middleton, formerly of Winthrop, passed awayÊon July 30 at the age of 80.
She was the beloved wife for more than 59 years of Andrew DeFilippis, devoted mother of Andrew DeFilippis and his wife, Kathleen of Saugus, David DeFilippis and his wife, Jerri of Medford, Brian DeFilippis and his wife, Diana of Manchester, N.H. and Mark DeFilippis and his wife, Susanna of Middleton; dear sister of John Spano and his wife, Carol of Danvers and cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Christopher, Adriana and Sofia. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were by the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston.
